A courtyard garden in South West London

A typically tiny London garden overlooked on all sides. The owner wanted a garden room, as an extension of her small flat. A wisteria has been planted against the back wall with the intention of taking it up and along the top like a green curtain. To the left a weeping birch which will blur the boundary fence and to the right  a Ceanothus close to the room so that in spring she will have both perfume and privacy. Folding sliding doors mean that in summer the whole wall can disappear and you are in the garden.
